** Bad Weather - In case of inclement weather, parents should listen to school closing information on local radio and television stations.  If your phone number contact information is up-to-date in Skyward, you should also receive a Skylert phone message.

* School Spirit Days - Every Friday! Tri-C Elementary School encourages students to show their school spirit by wearing orange and navy blue to school every Friday!

* Monthly Dollar Days - "Dollar Days” are school wide activities to help fund our character-building PBIS program (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) and purchase items for our ROAR School Store.  Each month, Tri-C hosts a student Dollar Day, where students may bring $1 and participate in the activity (examples include:  Hat Day, Flip-Flop Day, Pajama Day).

* Lost and Found - Check the lost and found in our all-purpose room if you have lost any item of clothing or other article.  To help us return lost items to the correct owners, please label all of your child's belongings (lunch boxes, coats, hats, gloves, etc.).  All unclaimed items will be routinely donated to the Carterville Pantry.

* Going Outside - We will be going outside for recess as long as the temperature and wind chill are above 30 degrees.  Please have your child dress appropriately for outdoor recess with coat/jacket, hat, scarf, gloves/mittens, etc., when needed.

* Perfect Attendance and On Time to School - Learning to be prompt is a quality that we want to teach our children. It is a part of our school creed. Perfect attendance is being linked with tardiness. Children who are tardy to school will not be recognized for perfect attendance. School starts at 8:00 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 8:05 a.m.  Students arriving after 8:05 a.m. should come to the the office to receive a tardy pass.  Students who arrive at school after the 8:05 a.m. bell or leave before the 2:35 p.m. bell are considered tardy and/or absent for part of the day.

* Parking Off Road - Please do not park off of the paved areas around or in front of the school. You may use the high school parking lot for overflow parking.  Thanks!

* Party Invitations- We will no longer be allowing party invitations to be passed out at school. This is out of respect for the privacy and protection of our students. Please use the US Mail or other methods when inviting students to parties. Please see our Student Handbook (pg. 28) regarding Party Invitations for more details.
